Black Emperor Tetra, Nematobrycon palmeri "Black", is a popular choice for community aquariums due to its peaceful demeanour and easy care requirements. It is a colour variant of the common Emperor Tetra (Nematobrycon palmeri), selectively bred to enhance its dark blue-black colouration.
Their max size is 1.5-2 inches. A minimum 20 gallons for a small school of 6-8 fish is recommended. They prefer temperatures between 23-27°C (73-81°F) and a pH range of 6-7.5
