Boesemani Rainbowfish

The Boesemani Rainbowfish, Melanotaenia boesemani, are found in mountain lakes and tributaries in West Papua, Indonesia. They can grow up to 4 inches and live (on average) 5-8 years. Boesemani have beautiful blue and orange bodies when they reach adulthood. They're a schooling fish that gets along in community tanks with similarly-sized fish. Tropical temperatures between 75–82°F (24–28°C) are suggested and a pH between 6-8.
