Chinese Algae Eater

The Chinese Algae Eater starts off small but don't be fooled by their size as they grow to be 8-10 inches. They should be kept with semi-aggressive community tanks with larger fish. Perfect tank mates would be gouramis, red tailed sharks, tiger barbs, larger tetra, and African cichlids. These fish do an amazing job of eating algae, especially when they're younger, but tend to need more supplemental foods as they grow. 

These fish love fast-flowing water, if possible, with a pH between 6.8–7.4 and temperature of 22-28°C (72-82°F). It is recommended to keep them in a 40+ gallon aquarium.
