Daisy's Blue Ricefish
Daisy's Blue Ricefish
Daisy's Blue Ricefish, Oryzias woworae, are strikingly beautiful freshwater fish native to small streams and pools in Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia.
This small, peaceful fish is known for its iridescent blue body, which shimmers under the right lighting, and the bright red or orange accents on its fins, particularly prominent in males. Growing to about 1.5 inches in length, Daisy’s ricefish are perfect for nano and community tanks due to their size and peaceful nature. A group should be kept in a 15+ gallon aquarium. They thrive in planted tanks with gentle water flow and require water temperatures between 22-28°C (72-82°F) and slightly alkaline conditions with a pH range of 6-7.5, though they can tolerate a wider range. A well-maintained tank with live plants and open swimming space is ideal for their active swimming behaviour.
