The Fire Red Honey Gourami is a colour variant of the Honey Gourami (Trichogaster chuna). This variant boasts vibrant reds along with some yellow colouring. They grow to approximately 2 inches and are very hardy due to the changes in their natural habitats during monsoon seasons. Much more peaceful than it's dwarf gourami cousins. You can keep a single gourami in a 5 gallon aquarium. If you have more than 3 then 20 gallons is recommended.
Fun fact - If you ever notice your male gourami developing a black belly or throat - don't fret! That is called "breeding dress" and he is most likely attempting to court a female.
