GloFish Tetra (Galactic Purple)

GloFish Tetra are an interesting addition to the aquarium hobby. The technology that allows for their genetic mutation was initially designed to recognize toxins in freshwater rivers and lakes. But it was discovered that the modified genes were recessive which resulted in the fish being patented produced as aquarium fish.

Galactic Purple GloFish Tetra are happiest when in a school of 6 or more. GloFish Tetra are a peaceful and calm community fish. They are best kept in 10+ gallon aquariums, at 72–82° F and at a pH of 6-8.
