Golden Pencilfish

Golden Pencilfish, Nannostomus beckfordi, are a top-dwelling schooling fish. They are a great addition to nano or community tanks. They have a slender, pencil-like body with a small snout and mouth. They're commonly found in large numbers in swamps and slow-moving water in Brazil, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana.

It is recommended that these pencilfish be kept in schools of 6 or more. They prefer a temperature range of 64–82° F (18–27.7° C) and a pH range 5.0–8.0 however, more acidic water is preferable.
