Green Neon Tetra

The Green Neon Tetra, Paracheirodon simulans, is a small, peaceful freshwater fish known for its iridescent green-blue body. It resembles the more common Neon Tetra but has a slightly more intense green colouration. This species thrives in densely planted tanks and is an excellent choice for aquarists looking for a vibrant, schooling species to add to a community setup. 

They only reach a maximum size of 1 inch so it's recommended to keep them with similar sized fish. Green neons can be kept in a 10 gallon tank, but larger tanks are recommended for schools of 10 or more fish. Tropical temperatures of 22-28°C (72-82°F) and a pH range of 5-7 is recommended to keep them healthy.
