Zebra Danio

Zebra danios, Danio rerio, also known as Zebrafish, are a popular choice for beginner aquariums because they are hardy, adaptable, and easy to care for. They are native to freshwater lakes in South Asia and are known for their energetic personalities and striking stripe patterns along their elongated bodies. They grow to around 2.5 inches so a school of them should be in a 10+ gallon tank. They prefer a pH from 7-7.4 but can tolerate up to 8. The ideal water temperature should be between 72–86°F.
